Book Review

The Master of Mazes is a mystery about a boy or girl (really yourself) and your friend (Redfern). In this book you choose where to go. It's a fun book. I like it. If you read it, maybe you'll like it too.In this book, your character is Lin the Tristler. Lin is a forest dweller. His best friend is Redfern. Redfern has a long nose like an anteaters and yellow fur and over-sized paws. He can also walk on two feet. One day, Lin went to the forest. He followed Redfern and saw a cart full of tristles and jumped into it and went through a gate, and when the cart came out it was completely empty. "Where's Redfern?"When you enter the gate, you choose where to go as if you were really in the story. There are 35 different endings, and some come to dead ends.By Malkam

Best gamebook

This was my favorite gamebook when I was a child. The fantasy situations and passing from tower to tower were great.

A book you will want to read over and over again.

This book is one of my favorites because it really makes you think. Master of Mazes starts out with you, Lynn the Tristler (a tristler is one who looks for a vegetable called a tristle) finding your friend, a beast named Redfern who helps you find tristles. One day, Redfern chases a cart that is filled with tristles into the estate of the Master of Mazes. After he enters you are stuck outside until you sneak in when the cart comes out. Your friend is nowhere around. Now the rest is up to you. You may search for your friend by going into the manor house or search the grounds. After this, you will have to make decisions on every page, some of which will result in life or death as you brave perilous mazes, race down a hill on a bobsled and even outwit a nasty minotaur to find your friend.

A coose-your-own-adventure book that is bizarre beyond words

I read this book when I was much younger and it was my all time favorite book for years. I read it almost twice a week and have chosen every path possible in the book. This book is a choose-your-own-adventure which gives you some independency in your reading, but that's not why I liked it. The characters and things you encounter in this book are so bizarre and almost twisted. There were some things that happened in the book that made me uneasy because they were so strange. It is a fantasy setting with amazing creativity and origional beings and things you can encounter. It almost keeps you on the edge of your seat and it's very difficult to put down. My hat is off to the author because I have found myself getting angry when the adventure I have chosen is over, even when it ends on a happy note. I have also found myself going along the path where you know you will perish, just because it's LONGER! This is a great book, and I have yet to read the sequel but I hope it's good, if not better than The Master Of Mazes!
