A sadder Reid

From the back: The bride had a secret..She adored her husband, but knew she could never give him what he really needed. That was why she walked out on their marriage two years ago. Now Joanne has no choice but to return to Sandro for help. He agrees, but on one condition: that she return as his wife - to his bed. Joanna loves Sandro more than ever, but can she face a replay of their disastrous wedding night? Surrender to Sandro means revealing the secret she's kept hidden from him all along. Passion is the risk that Joanna must take - if she's to save her marriage...I was hooked after the first 6 pages. The tension between the couple over the phone was amazing. I couldn't wait to read what would happen when they were face-to-face. This is definitely a darker Reid, which is probably why I would not say it is one of my favorites. Still, it has all the amazing tension and chemistry that I love in Reid's novels, so I had to give it the full 5 stars.

The best of Michelle Reid

I have read every Michelle Reid printed. This is the best. Similar in style to Lynne Graham, Reid makes you fall in love with her characters. There's no doubt in this book, that you have 2 people who love each other desperately - but they have major issues to resolve. If you don't fall in love with it by page 5, don't go further- it starts right off with heavy emotions: heartache, angst, yearning and tenderness.

Best Harlequin I have ever read.

If I could I would give this book 10 stars! This is the best Harlequin I have read so far and I have read a few! The subject is timely and handled in a realistic fashion. The hero is great, but human. The heroine is very good considering her upbringing and situation in life. I have read it 3 times and will read it again. Michelle Reid is a great writer for this kind of book.
