This Was A Good Romance Book! (A Keeper)

I love to read Christmas romance books and I have read a lot of Christmas themed romances and The Man Who Came for Christmas is one of my favorites, it's a pretty good book from the Harlequin publishing company and is written by Bethany Campbell. Abbie Hale lives on a ranch with her father but when a man named Yates Conley comes to the ranch to appraise her late grandfathers's belongings she gets upset about that and doesn't trust Yates and accuses him of being sneaky, etc, and she doesn't like how Yates doesn't seem to like her boyfriend Lucky Gibbs who works on the ranch and soon it becomes apparent that though Yates does have a secret about why he is really at the ranch that he has very good reasons for not liking Abbie's boyfriend and that Abbie needs to learn that maybe Yates isn't the creep she thinks he is and that maybe her boyfriend is the one who is a creep. I liked the story and I liked Yates and I liked Abbie for the most part except for the times when she was being kind of a brat to Yates but I do think in the end it all worked out pretty well and I very greatly recommend this book. I have decided that I like it enough for it to be a keeper though I rate it a 4 for the parts of the book where I felt like telling Abbie to stop being such a spoiled brat and giving Yates such a hard time! Usually when there is friction between the guy and the girl in a romance book I take the side of the girl but in this case I have to say that Abbie annoyed me!

A Wonderful Christmas Romance

Abbie Hale is despondent. Her grandfather has recently passed away and her father has to sell SkyRim Ranch. The only home she has ever known. Sadly the ranch has been losing money for the last four or five years, her dad had only been keeping it going because of her grandfather, with him gone, they have to sell. And to make matters worse an appraiser is coming to go through her grandfather's coin and stamp collections. That just about makes it a dead certainty that this is going to be the worst Christmas Abbie has ever spent. And to top it all off, she is nursing a foal that looks like it's not going to make it. The only bright spot in her life is Lucky Gibbs, a rodeo rider who is her almost fiancé. He is on the rodeo circuit, but he's promised that when he makes enough money, he'll come back to Nebraska, buy a ranch and marry her. Yates Connelly is an undercover Nebraska cop. He'd been wounded in the field by the enforcer of a dealer in rare coins and now he's consigned to riding a desk. But then he gets a tip from none other than Abbie's brother that Lucky Yates may be the enforcer. He contacts Abbie's father, who can't stand Lucky, then he goes undercover as an appraiser and he comes to the Ranch to see if he can get info out of Abbie about Lucky. Sparks do not immediately fly between these two, but they get there. Ms. Campbell has given us a wonderful hero in Yates, who we feel for as he agonizes over the job he has to do as he falls in love with Abbie. And Abbie, bless her heart, slowly falls for Yates, even as she realizes that he is not who he claims to be. A lot goes on in this excellent Christmas romance that I dearly loved, but not so much that you can't follow and appreciate the wonderful story.

I Liked The Book!

The Man Who Came for Christmas is a really good Christmas romance book written by Bethany Campbell it is about a young lady named Abbie Hale, a rancher's daughter and Yates Connley is a guy who comes to the ranch but Abbie resents his presence and thinks he's up to no good but learns that sometimes things aren't always what they seem! I really enjoyed this cute little book and I definitely could read it again.
