The Man from Madrid

This is one of Anne Weale’s best books & I’ve read most. The love story is realistic. Both lead characters have work commitments & live their lives while cautiously exploring their feelings for each other. Their maturity and responsibilities add to the beginnings of their relationship. Weale has a way of using words to paint pictures, & true to her style, with the mountain & valley regions of Spain coming alive. She uses expatriates to intricately help weave the story & expand the characters’ personalities & perspectives. I just read this for a second time & found it as interesting as the first plus I was able to glean more insight into the main characters. If you like Anne Weale’s books, you’ll love this.
