2.5 stars for too much filler

I think this COULD have been a much better book if the author hadn't spent so much time rambling and trying to put on a show. She never really settles on any given subject long enough to properly explain it, and I found that especially frustrating for the Shadow Work section. She gives only a hint of how to do that, but never truly explains the process, which is the case with most things she talks about. This book seems to be aimed at those still learning the tarot, but she talks about everything as if she expects her readers to already know it all. And there's Wiccan dogma. While I've no issues with Wiccans themselves, it does get really old having to listen to the "Law of Three" flim-flam again and again in books that aren't about that subject. The author throws around the Rede concerning spells that can be done with tarot as well as applying it to reading others without them knowing. I've been working magic long enough to know this isn't a thing and if your cards don't want you knowing about somebody else, your readings will let you know that by coming out as utter nonsense or other confusing results. No need to stress out over your magic or readings, but that's a subject for another day. I hesitate to recommend this book, but can't with honesty say it's all bad. You can get some benefit from it, just not much. It's mostly show, so you may want to think of it as entertainment rather than information.
