The Lost Summer is a graceful and touching memoir--an evocation of an American age almost forgotten, and a fascinating portrait of a great writer struggling to rediscover his voice. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Can't believe that this has not been reviewed yet. This is a very interesting, nicely written book of a summer F Scott Fitzgerald was in Oxford MS. The author Tony Buttita was working there in a bookstore and became somewhat friends with Fitzgerald. It is an evocative book of that summer, of the south and of a broken writer still trying and I really loved it.
