A Book On Life From The Voice Above

I have known Rabbi Plotkin for 20 years and heard many of his sermons. When I found out that he had written a book, I rushed to get it. In reading it, I can hear his voice telling the stories I have enjoyed listening to since I was a kid. Easy to read, easy to understand, and meaniful to anyone, this book is a great testament to the man who has served all his life. Even if you don't usually read religious books, read this one. It's fantastic and enjoyable.

This one you've got to read

Have you ever been down on your luck? Ever felt pain like none other? Where did YOU turn? Paul Plotkin turned to the Psalm. His experiences and stories through out his career are conveyed in this wonderful self help book.Whether you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim or have any other belief, this book can help guide you through your troubles. Mr. Plotkin takes REAL life scenarios and stories and beautifully applies them to Psalm he has read over the years. His creative story telling opened my eyes to alternative ways of reading the psalms. I cannot thank him enough for writing this book.

The Lord Is My Shepherd: Why Do I Still Want?

This book is a must read for anyone who has suffered loss in their life. It is an invaluable guide to using the power of Psalms for healing the void. Rabbi Plotkin uses very personal stories to demonstrate how the book of Psalms contains ancient wisdom that is as relevant today as it was two thousand years ago.

A feel Good Experience

I was restintant in reading the book as I thought it was religious writing. But my wife read it and strongly suggested I read it. She was right it was uplifting and gave me a great deal to think about. I continue to re-read it when I need that feel good thought to bring me through day. A delightfull read and now I highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful

Although I don't usually read this type of book, it was presented to me and I was amazed how it touched me. The author's use of stories to convey the message of the psalmist was very effective in allowing me to relate to the material. His description of how the spiritual healing of psalms affected his life moved me deeply. I can see how people in life's transitions, such as divorce or illness, will find great comfort and consolation in this book. I recommend it to everyone.
