The Lizard Who Loves a Blizzard is a cute little story by Shelley Larkin and Michael Sullivan. I thought it was a wonderful way to teach young readers to dream big. Nothing is impossible. You never know when that dream could come true. I loved the rhyming verse of it and I thought made the story flow easily. Larry was a fun little lizard that was determined that he would one day see snow, even though others said he would not. It was another great way to hear my little ones’ giggle as I read it to them.
The Lizard Who Loves a Blizzard is beautifully illustrated by Yanaisy Puentes Cruz. It was fun to get a visual of what Larry looked like. The pictures perfectly go with his story and was a great addition to it. It was a helpful way to help hold younger readers’ attention. The colors were so bright and vibrant.
I am giving The Lizard Who Loves a Blizzard a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of four and eight. It would be a great addition to a personal, school or a local library. I would love to read more books from Shelley Larkin and Michael Sullivan in the future to share with my little ones.
I received a hard cover copy of The Lizard Who Loves a Blizzard from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
