Simple and Sweet

This is such a sweet story that I recommend it for the toddler set. A newborn cow says "Ma" instead of "Moo," and the other barnyard animals are puzzled. But the newborn cow "is perfect," as the mother cow knew all along, for his cries of "Ma" help him when he gets lost in the neighboring forest. The 23 pages have comforting pictures, lots of animals and flowers, and a reassuring message for small fry: "And in the barnyard, everything was just right."
