The Little Black Book of London, 2014 Edition

This small book is a nice companion to a more comprehensive book on London, your choice there. There are good neighborhood maps which helped us alot during our travels and it's easy to stick in a purse. I bought mine used and was very happy with it.

I am very happy with this book. I will be taking it with me to England soon. I bought it to find some different areas of London, which will be my fourth visit. It has become very useful already in my planning. While I still like the Rick Steves' London book for its specific and highly opinionated recommendations, this serves a different purpose. The Little Black Book is for people who want to explore different parts of London, but not for those in for just a day or two. The writing is much better than the publisher's Boston edition.

I just received this today and am pleased with it. The size is perfect for tucking in a jacket pocket or a backpack. it has a small fold out map of each area of London and a tube map in the back. I've been to London several times and know it fairly well, but I find I always need a map to help me remember where my fave spots are. This is an excellent book for those who have been to London and don't want to carry a big, noticeable guide book around. Or you could buy this to supplement a guide book. Read the guide book in your room, and then take this one with you when you go out. You can't beat it for the price!

This "little black book" is perfect to use for seeing the best sights in London. It divides the city into areas with a fold-out map for each; it highlights the most important sights to see in each area, marks them on the map and even adds shopping and dining tips. Small enough to drop in your bag but very informative.
