Top-Notch Textbook

THE LITIGATION PARALEGAL is a complete textbook for anyone interested in pursuing a career as a paralegal. This book focuses on litigation and a paralegal's role in the process. Some observations on the book: The exhibits were very beneficial. Appendix B- The Substantive Law of Torts, Appendix C- The Substantive Law of Contracts are good primer material. Appendix D- A Mini-Guide for Interpreting Medical Records was something I didn't expect to find. I found that to be really helpful. The Paralegal Handbook at the front of the book was another good inclusion. Mr. McCord provides detailed step-by-step instruction on the litigation process. Also included are a short Glossary and Index. This book is a comprehensive textbook. Organized and written very well. I highly recommend the book to students or those interested in the litigation process as every-day citizens.

This Fourth Edition Is Suited To Several Types

".....THIS FOURTH EDITION IS SUITED TO SEVERAL TYPES of students. These include the traditional college classroom student, the student learning through a virtual course, and the paralegal being trained in the law office as a litigation paralegal....." [from the book of the preface by James W. H. McCord]

Good book - well written

I had to buy this book as part of a college course curriculum. This was an informative and well written book which was also easy to read and follow. I can't stand boring complicated college books so this one was a welcome change. It really helped to break down the litigation process and defined many terms and uncomplicated some things that would have been quite difficult otherwise. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone just wanting to know more about litigation, especially those who don't want to be bogged down with technical legal jargon which is hard for most people to understand.
