This book is the third of a series of books about the Marshall men from North Carolina. The first book about the oldest son, Adam, is called "A Very Special Favor." Tag, the youngest son, is the subject of book two called "Salt of the Earth." I would suggest reading both of these first before reading this one. James is the middle son in the Marshall family and the most serious of the bunch. James meets Adrianna at a party and there is an immediate attraction on both parts. Unfortunately for them both when Monday morning rolls around, they discover they are on the opposite sides of the court room and a chance for love seems almost impossible. Adrianna's father is on trail and James is the prosecutor. The rest of the book is about the trials and frustrations of trying to make this love match work. The best part to me was at the end when the entire Marshall family gets together for Tag's wedding in Texas. What a great conclusion to a wonderful series of books!
