The Law of Love: Book Three of the River of Freedom Series

I was enthralled by this book from the moment I opened the first page. It is a very thoroughly researched and well written book that reveals the Prohibition movement for what it really was, a movement done by sincere people who wanted to improve the human condition in America. It shows the complexities of the movement, and how while at first actually very successful, eventually collapsed due to the powers that be. A fact which after reading the book actually I found distressing. Although, I found the book under the Christian Fiction category it actually has one or two swear words in it and perhaps a little more detail into the physical attraction the lead character feels for his wife than I usually expect in this category. However, for those with as sensitive taste as mine, it is still tolerable. I gather the author favors the Methodist denomenation for the characters in the entire series are always Methodist. Nonetheless, I very much recommend this book. It is enthralling and so very enlightening into a part of our Nation's history that is rarely fully explained.
