The book about living thin, not dieting.

I bought this book four years ago, and found the recommendations very helpful. It's nothing drastic, really, it does not require dieting, being hungry, or depriving oneself. I lived by the principles of the book ever since, and without any dieting or even trying to lose weight I lost about (you guessed it!) five pounds. Just recently I reread the book, once I noticed that my bathroom scale shows a slightly higher number than I'm used to seeing. It put me in the right frame of mind again, and helped to start "thinking thin" again. The book is a collection of very sound advise, and I am planning to reread it occasionally, when I begin thinking that I can "get away" with eating high-fat foods and not exercising. The book is also very well written and makes an easy and interesting reading. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who ever felt frustrated with their inability to control their weight, who ever was tired of the vicious circle of dieting, bingeing, gaining, losing, stepping on the scale three times a day. Give yourself freedom!

An Inspirational Book to Simple Healthy Eating

A friend of mine bought Jamie Pope's book and the two of us decided to use her healthy approach to eating for two weeks. There was no deprivation or tricky menus. We were never hungry and continued to lose weight slowly and steadily. In two and a half months I lost 18 pounds and she lost 13. We loved the recipes. They were simple to prepare, tasty and varied day to day for two weeks. Now, at our ideal weight we are maintaining by cooking and eating low fat healthy menus. After many years of yo-yo dieting, this is an approach the makes sense andworks. We are both thrilled with the results! Give it a try.
