Daily meditations

Daily meditations I read over and over and have purchased for many friends going through hard times

This book was good not amazing

I really love her book codependent no more. And her book the New Codependency. This book was not as good as either of those, it was a little too religious for me and talked a lot about the 12 seep program. It is important to keep i. Mind that co dependency is a result of abuse and mistreatment that someone has endured. It is a coping mechanism for survival in a horrific situation. I don’t feel like this was a complete waste of time it does have a few good points here and there. Codependent no more is definitely my favorite book that Melody Beattie has written! Here are some books that I do recommend: Books that would help a women that has been or is being abused: The Dance of Anger By Harriet Lerner Not to People like us By Susan Weitzan Why does he do that? By: Lundy Bancroft Codependent No More by Melody Beattie The Verbally Abusive Relationship by Patricia Evans 10 Lifesaving Principles for women in Difficult Relationships by Karla Downing Next Time, She’ll Be Dead by Ann Jones The New Codependency by Melody Beattie Better than boundaries Victory Over Verbal Abuse by Patricia Evans When Love Goes Wrong by Susan Schechter and Ann Jones Too Good for Her Own Good by Claudia Bepko and Jo Ann Krestan Controlling People by Patricia Evan The Emotionally Abused Woman by Beverly Engel The Verbally Abusive Man- Can He Change? By Patricia Evans It’s My Life Now by Megan Kennedy Dugan and Roger R. Hock Wounded by words by Jeenie Gordan, Karen Kosman, & Susan Osborn 2nd half going back to abuse may be dangerous Angry Men and the Women Who Love Them by Paul Hegstrom Sweet Suffering: Woman as Victim by Natalie Shainess Emotional Vampires by Albert J. Bernstein The Sociopath Next Door by Martha Stout The gift of fear by Gavin de Becker Emotional Blackmail by Susan forward, Donna Frazier & Susan Frazier Men Who Hate Women and the Women Who Love them by Susan Forward and Joan Torres It’s my life now by Meg Kennedy Dugan & Roger R Hock Books for someone helping a victim of domestic abuse: Not to People like us By Susan Weitzan Why does he do that? Language of letting go

Great book

not here as of yet.

did not get this book. I got in touch with c. service. they are to send me a replacement book. still have not received this book!

Wonderful Daily Read.

Rarely do I open this book to disappointment. On the contrary. If you are a person who struggles with low self-esteem, or some depression, or just gets "lost" in this big world of ours, this is a wonderful book to help you retrieve your bearings. (Yes, you do possess them, they just get misplaced) Life is to be lived, and it is so easy to get caught up in....well, anything. Let go, Live!

The Language of Letting Go

I have owned a copy of 'The Language of Letting Go' since its original publication in 1996 and am still finding it useful and pertinent to my daily living. I bought the book at a time when I needed some guidance and this book provided this and more. It has allowed me to understand that what I feel is both normal and natural and that I should not deny emotions and thoughts that inevitably surface. I have suffered from post-viral depression, stress from studying, loneliness and yes, co-dependency. Melody Beattie, in this book has helped me to realise that I shouldn't try to push my fears and needy emotions aside. Rather I have come to realise I should just let the feelings go, and realise I can't control everything in my life.I am still using the book, not everyday but when I feel I need to. Inevitably I find what I need in each daily meditation. This has always been a daily tonic to me.Recently I lent my book to a good friend who is going through a very rough time - She was involved in a bad car accident she was told she should have died in. Since that time she has suffered from an eating disorder and has tried to push her closest friends and family away from her, afraid that she could hurt us with her pain. I know this book has helped her enormously, she told me so. Now I'm buying one for her. I think this is probably the best gift I could give her.
