Fair prediction of U.S. Economic future for next 60 years

This little paperback book provides at a high school reading level an understanding of the Kondratieff economic wave theory that predicts reasonably well the economic future of the United States for the next six decades. By careful study and the use of other materials which take a long cyclic view of the US and global free enterprise (socio-capitalistic) economic societies, one can understand why the US has had a protracted depression during the 1982 to 1988 period and why we are now entering a period of great prosperity and a new economic infrastructure is being built. With a further extension of the Kondratieff (Russian Kondratiev) 54 year economic cycle theory to the Japanese economy, the prediction of a depressed economy by 1999 (54 years from 1945 WW II depressed state) for the Japanese can be supported. This is a good little inexpensive book to cut one's teeth on when understanding one of the more controversial long wave economic cycle theories and on which depending on the economic theorist you ask has a great to none future predictive capability.
