I was given this book for Easter because I loved The Work and the Glory books. I started this book at 8:pm and read strait till I finished it at 5:am! It is a lot like the Work and the Glory made easier to read and understand. My younger teen was able to read it in a weekend. This book mostly goes back and forth between a young widow with 2 kids as they join the Church and fall in love with a handsome member. Mrs Mouritsen does a great job of blending fact and fiction. When it comes to the hard Facts she goes easy on the discriptions, speeches,and violance. More romance than history.
