A Neglected Classic

Okay, it's not A Tale of Two Cities - but it is a very nicely done tale that people who started their journey with PCs on "microcomputers" will particularly enjoy. A very readable tale - what else has this guy written? It's a story about high tech engineering, paranoid company and military executives, hackers invited in from the cold - if you can find it, you'll like it!
