The Imitation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I have recently obtained this book and absolutely love it. It is similar in nature to Kempis' Imitation of Christ, and is just as good! This book was origionallly published by Benziger Brothers in 1904 and has been reprinted several times by Tan Books. It is broken down into small chapters, each of which is a small conversation with Jesus, the goal being to provide the reader with the means and exercises necessary to attain sanctity and true Christian holiness. Being that the chapters are small, yet rich with information, it is a great book for medatative prayer. (I Recommend "Conversation with Christ" for those not familiar with medatative prayer). This is a book that I carry with me always (it is small in size, but 734 pages long) -- a definate "must have" for those serious about making improvements in their spiritual lives and getting closer to Our Lord and Saviour.
