The Ice People

First off I want to say this book has been translated into English. The title is The Ice People. This is one of the greatest science fiction books of all time. I was forced to read it in 1985 in high school and now own 2 copies of it.

"La Nuit Des Temps " is the most poetic science-fiction novel I've ever read! Unforgettable !

I'm french, and read "La nuit des temps" 10 years ago. I was looking for it for my girlfriend ( she's english), and was so pleased to read all the reviews, that i nearly cried. I could'nt imagine that other people love this book as much as i do... I read it probably more than 10 times since i've bought it.( A very nice hard packed one...)and i feel really happy to know other people share this with me... This should be an obligatory book at school, it is so true, so deep... One advise: keep your and never stop reading and reading it again and again...you'll always be more and more enchanted.

The english title for this masterpiece needs to be changed. I read this book in spanish as a kid and could never forget it. I re-read it countless times and always enjoyed it, I'd love to learn french to read it in its original language. You would not be disappointed.

This is how we think this book should be called in english. La nuit des temps, La Noche de los Tiempos...not The Ice People. Too cold for this heartwarming book. It is not just a love story. It is the BEST story we have ever read (and we have read quite a bit). We have not found a more touching story, a more beautiful description of what love should be.She says she does not have any words to describe it. I say I just made one pause reading it: when I threw the book to the front wall, crying. Our E-name tells it all.
