I absolutely loved this book. It reminded me so much of Christmas in the country when I was a kid. Anyone who gets nostalgic for snow and cold at Christmas or who wishes they could "go home again" will read this book and have both needs satisfied quite warmly. The book is a well-written, smooth read, and you will want to read it a second time just because it makes you feel so wonderful. A great book to read together as a family. No sex, violence, drugs, or obscenity, but does touch on real-life adult subjects that may require answers for young children. I loved it, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this one come out as a Christmas movie.
