"The Heights of Rimring" is an exhilarating read, and one of the finest examples of its genre. The narrative is finely-paced, the plot suspenseful and well-constructed. Stirling, a woodsman and former M16 operative returns one afternoon to discover and accept a mission that is to take him deep into the picturesque Himalayas in a quest to rescue an American General who has undergone a double-defection from the Chinese Military. Needless to say, not only does the General possess invaluable information on the current state of the Chinese Military, but he has also written a codex detailing recent military developments.
