After much searching, This is the absolute children's story book about the passing of a pet. A wonderfully written book like all of Nancy Tillman's other beautiful books.

I purchased this book as a gift for a woman I knew whose pet had passed away. I love the other books written by this author and felt that it would be a wonderful gift to share. She never said thank you so I cannot be sure that it was truly appreciated but I hope that when she received it, it helped to bring her and her child some comfort while they grieved their pet's passing.

This beautifully illustrated book offers solace and hope to anyone grieving the loss of a beloved pet. It is written in rhyme and will soothe the concerns of a bereaved pet owner without offering any religious views. I love this book and all of Nancy Tillman's books. She was born to do this!
