Book Overview

At a time that should have been considered the highlight of her career, Sheila Walsh admitted herself to the psychiatric wing of a Washington, D.C. hospital. Having worked for five years as cohost of The 700 Club, the years of treading water while trying to keep so much around her afloat and keep various plates spinning left her drowning in a hopeless sea of clinical depression. Despite her best efforts, she simply couldn't will herself out of it...

A must-read for every woman who has been bruised by life!

This book takes courage to read! But so very worth the effort that it takes to work through the "gunky" build up of the stuff life leaves behind. Like your car needs a tune-up, so does your soul, and you can find the tools needed here! But the work is not for the faint of heart! And know that in the end you will be stronger for it! Then, be ready to walk with someone else as she goes through it.

Blessings shared!!

Sheila is a blessing from God and has used her life to minister to those hurting. It's a blessing blessing others. Wonderful book that will touch any woman's heart with so many practical and easy to see examples that we can use and relate to in our own lives, even those of us not on TV or with WOF or in the public eye. She is down to earth and honest and gives/shows HOPE with lots of practical questions at the end to ask yourself and think and pray about!

COMFORTING

This is one of the best books i have ever read!!!!!!!!! Especially on those that are hurting. It is balanced and its as if the writer knows exactly what you are going through. Anyone who struggles with depression should read this book. The author is so real and honest and her heart so true. i just gave this book to a girl who went into rehab. i gave her mine because i didnt have time to get another one. it was VERY hard to give up, but i knew that it would really help her. i am now looking to buy another one. this is not a book you read once. its a great book to refer back to over and over.

Life-changing book!

The Heartache No One Sees opened my eyes and helped me dig past the mask that I wear in order for others to think well of me. Instead of hiding behind a everything-is-fine mask, Sheila Walsh encourages us to be open to God's redemptive work, to be realistic about the needs that we have and to reach out to others who are also hurting and hiding. Sheila is a real person and very easy to get to know through her writing. I am so thankful for God's work through this book!
