These Back Exercises Work!! Save Your Back Here!!

I had purchased this book, but had not read it yet, when my back went out again. Sitting in pain, I opened the book to the section "Exercises for an Acute Back" which contains several exercises for someone CURRENTLY suffering back pain. I was amazed that I was able to get some relief from doing these exercises. It still took time for the back to heal again, but the exercises definitely reduced the pain temporarily. I was thrilled, and proceeded to read the rest of the book. I selected all of the exercises that I did not find too annoying to do, and started doing them on a daily basis. After several months, I realized that my back was going out infrequently, and if it did go out, it recovered more quickly - instead of the usual 1-2 weeks it took prior to doing the exercises. I still do the exercises from this book daily - and can't even remember the last time my back went out. The book covers the physiology of the back, the value of exercise, suggested exercise programs and of course, THE EXERCISES. The exercises are accompanied by pictures of people performing the various positions (and thankfully they are REAL people - not super models or famous wrestlers or something). There are special sections for "working day" exercises, and exercises during pregnancy. The book includes a glossary of back related medical terms, contact info for various practioners/organizations relating to back pain treatment, and a list of other reference/reading materials related to the back. If you want to achieve and maintain a healthy back, this book may be for you!
