Framed for murder, Skye Fargo must catch and tame a red-haired beauty or face the gallows. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Skye Fargo, the title character of this adult series, is a man bent on revenge, hunting the killers who murdered his family. By the time readers are introduced to Fargo, he has evolved into a crack troubleshooter, scout, trailsman for hire, wise in the ways of the frontier and Indians. Essentially a loner, the Trailsman is also quite a womanizer and his adventures are filled with conquests with all kinds of women, many of them pure wildcats, white and Indian, that only he can tame. In this story, Fargo must track down a widow who framed him for a murder he didn't commit and he desperately needs her testimony to clear his name. His pursuit takes him across plains and over mountains, with the usual dangers of bad men, hostile Indians and savage, murderous squaws. Author Jon Sharpe is no Louis L'Amour but his novels are diverting, in the spirit of the pulp magazines of the 1940s and '50s.
