The first reviewer is way off base, I am not sure he really read this book. Mr. Day has created some great characters here and a very suspenseful story. I truly enjoyed this book. Mr. Day has a true knack for dialect and detail...I hope he actually writes again. I have read every Mark Twain novel and Mr. Day might actually hit one straight down the fairway - if he writes again. If one does nothing with their talent, they lose out. To deny others of their abilities...well, it is down right selfish. I hope Mr. Day finds his pen, pencil, computer, and voice again...he could give us a heck of a ride. If he does not, we all lose...but maybe no one as much as Mr. Day. Something tells me he has greatness floating around somewhwere...Mr. Day? are you there? Find it. Good luck. And get back to writing. On a personal note, when the author comments himself...that takes courage. He isn't getting paid for buying this book used.

I wrote The Hacker, so I'm prejudiced about it, but I do have one question for the individual who panned it so hard in the only other review in this thread. Here's the question, if my novel was so bad, how come "The Hacker" was nominated for the 1990 Prometheus Award and enjoyed decent critical reviews? Other 1990 nominees for the Prometheus Award, by the way, included Poul Anderson and Robert Heinlein. You can buy my book used these days for 24 cents and up, so instead of taking the word of what appears to me to be a jealous wanna be writer, buy a copy and decide for yourself! Chet Day
