Louisiana Shoot-Out

One doesn't usually think about New Orleans when thinking about an Old West western;but this ts a great yarn nonetheless. Our hero,Clint Adams,known far and wide as the Gunfighter,gets hires as one of the judges for a shooting competion organized in the wild and expanding City of New Orleans.New Orleans was just as wild,if not wilder in the those days ,as it was from the beginning and still continues to be one of the most interesting and different places in America.In this story,that will grab your interest ,right from the beginning;you will get a good idea of how things went on in the French Quarter.You will meet up with some real colorful characters,and intrigue and mystery,which has always been a part of New Orleans,permeates the story from beginning to end.This story is so well written that the writer grips your imagination so well;that you feel you are right in the midst of all the goings on. If you've ever read Waller's "Bridges of Madison County" ;you'll understand why this episode could have,just as well been titled,"The Balconies of New Orleans". After having read this story ;any visit to the French Quarter,will certainly have the reader checking out the balconies. You may not see Marie Laveau,or even a shoo-tout,but you never know what might be happening up on the overhead balcony,especially after dark!!
