American Industrialist, Robber-Baron Families

This is a good family overview of the Guggenheims from early arrival and their growing power, influence, and affluence. It also shows that anti-semitism could not be overcome with money in some situations... There are some ommissions, about their dealings with workers, politicians, and various other less-savory practices of the day, but that was standard faire by all barons of this era. I learned how wide-reaching and International the Guggenheim family business was and also the risk-reward calculations that are often not give enough credit,by these risk-taking kingpins.
