Book Rreview of "The Green Futuers Of Tyhco"

When I read the book "The Green Futuers Of Tycho", I was amazed at how well William Sleater( The author) Put together this Science Fiction book. My teacher read it to the class, and right after she finished the book, every one wanted to read it once more. I was trying to get my hands on one of the copys, to unfortunatly find that the book was out of print. I defenetly reccomend this book for anyone, and esspecialy those who like Science Fiction.

Epic!

Sleator is unquestionalby a master at this juncture. And "Green Futures" only serves to reiterate this point. One of his more dry storys "Green Futures" utterly destroys any sense of what you think is possible and impossible and aslo what is bad and what is good. One of the most chilling aspects about alot of Sleator's books is his sometimes horrific display of the Nuclear Family. This book and other like "Rewind" open a few doors into some frightening house holds. The bottom line is that Sleator is and will continue to be simply Awsome. I highly reccomend this, and many other or his older works like, House of Stairs, Intersteller Pig, Singularity, Strange Attractors, The Duplicate, and Others See Us.I've been gorging myself on Sleator novels since early childhood, and will continue to do so. The only complaint that I have about this author is that he is not more recognized for people to see his greatness. Truly this man and his works are a credit to our civilization.

An excellent time travel book

This book was most likely my first time travel book I ever read. It got me started on the whole "time travel" type of thing. I wish I had a copy of this book, because it is an excellent primer to time travel, and I'd love to have a complete library of these kinds of books. If you're interested in another great time travel book, similar to how this one works, check out "The Man Who Folded Himself" by David Gerrold.

(Almost As) Good As _Interstellar Pig,_ Slightly More Durabl

This book is almost as good, or maybe as good as, _Interstellar Pig_, but I think it has a bit more durability in the sense that older readers may enjoy it more than some of Sleators other works. It has the trademark quirkiness of Sleator, and if you liked any of Sleator's books, you should like this one. The novel is about a boy who tinkers with his fate and has to deal with the products of his tinkering.

A Book I'll Never Forget

This book details how a young boy's life changes as he tinkers with his past via a time travelling device. It has all the elements of a great SF "novel" and (as you get older!) helps you to realize that the things you do in life have farther reaching effects than you could ever imagine. But mostly, it's just a wonderfully fun book, even after 16 years!
