The Greek Boss' Demand by Trish Morey Harlequin Presents # 2444 - January 2005 The Greek Tycoons themed series While on holiday in Greece with her family, Alexandra met Nick and they began a whirlwind affair. When the holiday ended and Alex returned to Australia they kept in touch with hopes of a future together. Alex discovered she was pregnant, and because of circumstances in Nick's world, she chose not to tell him and allowed their communications to drift, until Nick broke their contact. It's nine years later now, Alex has a wonderful son, Jason. Her boss has recently died, and the company is anxiously awaiting the arrival of family from Greece to take over. Much to Alex's surprise, the family expected turns out to be Nick and he wants answers to why she gave up on them all those years before. The sparks are still there, but Nick is very bitter. When he learns the truth that Jason is his son, he vows to take Jason back to Greece without Alex. This is Ms. Morey's debut, and it shows wonderful promise for amazing stories to come. I liked both Alex and Nick, although Alex didn't come off in the best of light with her decision to keep Jason's identity secret for so long. Nick has faced many bitter family losses, and had viewed Alex's secrets as further betrayal. And oddly for a Presents, I found myself more sympathetic towards Nick than Alex. All is explained in the end. An enjoyable read.
