This is the most complete book I have ever read describing the Development, splits, and different paths followed by Believers in God. It explains clearly how the Ancient Greek Mythology relates to the early beliefs of Faithful Believers. It explains how the Greeks at the height of their greatness valued education and knowledge and translated the Old Testament into Greek (Septuagint) so that the people would have access to Early Scripture. It refers to many diverse writings, explaining clearly the connection between each and the paths followed by the various religious groups over several thousand years. It really helps the reader to understand how and why so many different religions have sprung up over the years. It gives understanding of the commonalities and differences among them. For any serious student of Religious history, It is a great resource.
