The German Heiress

This is a good book about a woman who inherits her family factories in Germany during the war. She tries to help the 20,000 slaves used there. It was difficult for me because she is a sympathetic character but the reality as I understand it is that she would have been and perhaps should have been severely punished. I don't think the American soldiers had a lot of sympathy for people who ran slave factories even if they tried to help them some. She still had other choices. I didn't like the end.

This is a great book set in Germany at the end of the war, it was engrossing and I finished it in two days. Unfortunately this book was very musty smelling, I had to mist it with a spray before I could read it.
