Georgia Conservancys Guide to the North Georgia Mountains

As an avid backpacker and waterfall hunter there is no better guide to North Georgia's natural wonders then "The Georgia Conservancy's Guide to the North Georgia Mountains". The trail information is indepth and complete. There are good maps, and information on driving tours, waterfalls, streams and lakes, wildlife, fishing and camping. I can't think of anything the book lacks except maybe color photos which really are not necessary. My copy has fallen apart and therefore I came here to order another copy. I don't know why this book has not been revised and re-released especially since the organization is still up and running. It would be a real shame if this book does not stay in print.

The authors have paid particular attention to details that lead you off the mainstream "touristy" trails and onto the real Georgia. This book is a "must-have" for campers and day-hikers so you can plan your next trip. Accurate topographic maps are included along with directions to trail heads and other sites.
