Quentin Williams is at the top of his game. As the quarterback for the NFL's Los Angeles Bulldogs, he's one of the most sought-after bachelors around town. But when his younger sister runs afoul of the law, Quentin finally finds himself facing a woman who is immune to his charms...or so he thinks. Assistant district attorney Sydney Holloway has a reputation for being tough on criminals -- no matter who they are. So when sports superstar Quentin Williams tries to use his celebrity to get his sister off scot-free, Sydney decides to prosecute the case by the book. With his fine, sexy good looks, Sydney tries hard not to succumb to his allure. But will she fall victim to much more than Quentin's irresistible charm?
Assistant DA, Sydney Holloway attended a pool party at the home of Quentin Williams and found herself attracted to the quarterback; however, her distrust in athletes and their lifestyle (groupies, partying)keeps her running away from Quentin's pursuit. Quentin did all he could to prove to Sydney his good intentions, Sydney almost proved to be disgusting for awhile especially being a tough DA. I almost wanted him to give up on her. All in all it was an enjoyable read and Quentin gave another side of athletes. The secondary story with Sydney's brother, Logan and her best friend, Monica provided a break from Sydney's game of playing hard-to-get.

Professional football player Quentin Williams and assistant district attorney Sydney Holloway meet at a fundraising event. From the moment Sydney saw Quentin she assumed the worst of him. Working in the district attorney's office in LA, she had more than enough run ins with "his type." Wealthy celebrities who thought they were above the law. Unfazed by her dislike for him, Quentin pursues Sydney doing everything in his poor to prove her wrong. But will that be enough for Sydney? This was a wonderful story that highlights the issues that go along with being a celebrity. Doreen Rainey does an outstanding job with character development.
