"The Frog Princess of Pelham" by Ellen Conford

I liked the book titled "The Frog Princess of Pelham" written by female author Ellen Conford. It's about a teen girl who doesn't think anybody actually really loves or even likes her, which is mostly true. She's an orphan, who has lots of money, not to mention a heated swimming pool. She has two girl friends who she thinks only likes her because of her pool. One day at school, the boy she likes asks her to kiss him. Shocked and surprised, she does, but when she opens her eyes from the kiss she finds she has become a small, green, frog! They try to find ways to change her back to her human self, and end up on television talk shows. I love the ending to this story, because it has to do with the army and some scientists, but it's really interesting. The whole thing is. Then, later, the lead girl (main character) has a sleepover at her house for her two girl friends. They prove to her how they don't care about her pool but like her for herself, by not bring their swimsuits with them. They're real, trueblue friends. But the thing I like is...that in fact, they were her real friends the whole time. She just didn't pay enough attention to know it, I guess. Very good work done by Ellen Conford, an author I like. The bad things in this short story, though, were the little bit or some swearing. A must-read. "The Frog Prince" fairytale with a twist-it's now the "Frog Princess" of Pelham.
