The Formal

Jenna, Roni, and Lora-Leigh made it through winter break and are more than ready to take on the new semester. Jenna's convinced she can fulfill her responsibilities with better planning and more communication. She's happy to be in a relationship with Tiger and to formally be a ZZT sister. Roni's about to embark on the biggest challenge of her life. She's undertaken the formal assistant post for the social calendar of ZZT. Right now, she's supposed to be helping plan the Spring Formal, but so far her sister is making her do all the work and taking all the credit. Will her frustrations and commitments ruin her new relationship? Lora-Leigh's tackling the star football player now that the season's ended. But he has bigger dreams and might not be around on campus too much longer. Lora-Leight has dreams of her own, but is she ready to leave ZZT and her two besties for FIT? The sisters rock this semester with some drama, lots of romance, and a little heartache. I really like this series. I love that it's about college and gives a different look at sororities than most other books. It's more about sisters and friendship than backstabbing. I adore books with a strong friendship pull, not to mention the addicting storylines. It was hard for me to put the book down and I'm sorry to say it's the end of a trilogy. Roni, Lora-Leigh, and Jenna are excited to start off the second semester of their freshmen year of college at LU as active members of the Zeta Zeta Tau Sorority. They're glad to be part of the ZZT and looking forward to becoming involved in the planning of Greek Week and the ZZT Spring Formal. The girls quickly realize that being Greek means being part of a family and they learn to rely on each other and their sisters as each one faces a challenge in her life. Roni bites off more than she can chew as she struggles to juggle a budding new relationship with Lance and being assistant planner for the ZZT Spring Formal Romance and Roses. She strives for perfection and is adjusting to paying her own way this semester by taking a job at the campus natatorium as a life guard but things keep getting more complicated for Roni and her relationship with Lance. Lora-Leigh finally gets a shot at a romance with DeShawn, LU's offensive running back; but she has a decision to make that could make her fashionista dreams come true or take her away from her friends and ZZT sisters and everything she has grown to love. Lora-Leigh's mischievous actions during the Greek Week games will keep older teens amused. Jenna questions her relationship with Tiger and if he really is "the one" while trying to keep her schedule and her diabetes in check. She continues to stress and over analyze every little detail of her romantic relationship with Tiger. Will the BFF's keep it together and make it through to enjoy the ZZT Spring Formal? Older teens will identify with each character and the challenges they face in their lives and the girls bonds of friendship and sisterhood are endearing and their antics will keep everyone laughing.
