1945: When wounded Captain Cooper Ravenel is brought to a hospital on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Dr Kate Schuyler is drawn into a complex mystery that connects three generations of women in her family to a single extraordinary room in a Gilded Age mansion. Written by three bestselling authors, this rich, multigenerational novel spans half a century.
Full-circle can be interesting and meaningful but not in this book. The circles within circles go on for three generations and are unbelievable and confusing. Even if you get one or more of the 'connections' early on, the pacing and sequences of the story are uneven and tiring. I finished the book but truly didn't care about the characters by the end of the book.
