Timing-perfect, Orbits-perfect, Universe positioning-perfect

The earth, as a planet, positioned rather than created by the sun sheds an enormous degree of understanding on why everything in the universe seems, well ordered. Life is comfortable, neither too hot nor too cold. Obviously in the old world, glaciers formed in a time when the earth was too cold, likewise, volcanic activity and vegatation growth made the earth too hot with thick clouds of C02. The earth is perfect for man containing water, oxygen, O3, and a magnetic field. The mass of the earth is perfect allowing the right gavitational and rotational orbit, changes in the winter and summer tilt. Even the milky way is perfectly balanced. If the milky way had a massive star in the center or a black hole gravitational forces would be too strong on the sun. Timing is also important. If man arrived on the earth 600,000 in the future; the sun would be entering the first stages of a red star and the earth would be surrounded with the solar flares. Man arrived on the earth at the right time.

A well written historical account.

I had the opportunity to read this work and found it to be a well thought out, and well researched historical account. What I found most intriguing was his placement of events into a timeline that could easily be followed by almost any reader allowing the reader to make most of the conclusions regarding the sequential significance. I have read his other two works that regarded the third and fourth thousand years. These works have been a valuable asset in placing events in their proper perspective in regards to the sometimes confusing events depicted in the Old Testament.

Excellent read

I was wonderfully surprised by this book and read most of it in one night (I was that engrossed). I found much of the historical commentary interesting but the highlight of the book is the appendix about the atonement. The veracity of Jesus' sacrifice for all of us are clearly declared. Seekers of truth will find what they are looking for in his essay.

This book is outstanding!

This book brought into focus so many of the questions about the creation of Adam and Eve, and why we needed an atonement. It helped me understand the Old Testament, so much better. I loved this book!

Better read it quick

Great read for understanding so many of the deeper aspects of Christianity. The best explanation I have found answering the question "Why the need for the Atonement?" So much of what is going in today is put into focused perspective with Skousen's ideas. Find a copy.
