Beautiful Story

Great characters, relatable people, involved in an alternate reality where they continue to evolve and develop. This author is a master storyteller. I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good tale, whether you enjoy fantasy or not.

A favourite book

This is a favourite book of mine - my favourite, even. As someone else said, identifying to characters is easy, as they come from our world. The story is well-balanced, complex and full of surprises. It can make you worry, make you cry and make you laugh out loud. The world is nicely built and beautiful, too. And don't worry about the size: I never got through Lord of the Rings, but the Tapestry can keep me up late nights.

Well Written Fantasy

I read books from all catagories and have always had a special place in my heart for a good fantasy novel. This trilogy is second only to The Lord OF the Rings. I felt compelled to add a review as someone has left a mocking negative review. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a well written story.

One of the Best Works of Fantasy Out There

I'm usually skeptic about reading a fantasy. So often have I picked up a fantasy looking for a book of sophistication that would still entertain, and so often have I been dissapointed. Kay's Fionavar Tapestry, however, is simply a brilliant work of modern fantasy. Well developed characters and a simple yet engrossing plot make this one of the best fantasies out there. However, Kay introduces an Arthurian sub plot about half way through the tapestry. Some may enjoy such a thing, but I found it tacky and contrived. Putting this aside, though, I would highly reccomend this book.

"Spellbinding, Excellently thought out story line"

This book was one of the best fantasy trilogies ever written. Associating with the characters becomes extremely easy due to the fact they are from the same world as we are. Well worth the read.+
