I bought the book because the exert was drawing me in. Upon arrival I read the book whenever I could sit and give it my full attention. What a well written eye opener. The characters were people you want to know, the writer had military intelligence intwined and giving me what I needed. I could understand what led to the fall of the United States. How friends and strangers came together prepared and unprepared. No electricity , no fuel or food or medicine. What would you do? I will order the authors other books!

Loved the 1st book. Enjoyed reading this book but it just didn't seem it fit. Not sure if he just didn't want to write this book or if it was rushed. But it ties everything together. All in all this series is definitely worth reading.

Love William R. Forstchen's books. Great writer! The series must be read together to get the complete picture of the story....One Second After, One Year Later and The Final Day. Exciting reader. Anyone interested in possible future disasters need to be aware of this story. I have also read the 48 hours and this too is a good read.
