MGM Aquires "The FactTracker" Book

MGM will direct the live action feature film adaptation". "This is an incredibly rich- family-film franchise says producer Shawn Levy ("Night at the Museum" and will partner with Marc Platt. "Fact vs. Fiction, battled out by a slew of dynamic, boldly drawn characters. The "FactTracker", is a Ronald Dahl-esque fable about Traakerfaxx, a town that gathers all the facts in the world. When a mysterious salesman arrives in town peddling lies, chaos ensues, forcing a young orphan boy with no facts of his own to ream up with the reclusive Facttracker in order to save their town. A perfect gift for all CEO's and politicians! Kids love the book.

a homerun!

All I can say is that my 9 year old daughter LOVED it!! She said this is one of the "most FAVORITE books she has ever read!" (and we all remember our favorites from childhood) Bravo Mr. Eaton, you hit a homerun with this one...hope there is more to come!!

An Entertaining Parable

"The Facttracker" uses its own text as a playground, toying with readers' expectations with hilarious results. Yet underneath all of the jokes and asides is a great lesson about the importance of truth in society. It's both funny and insightful.

part roald dahl, part phantom tollbooth

Good book. Really good book. At first I was a little sceptical about the subject: a town that produces facts that turns into a town that produces lies seemed like it might be a bit metaphor-heavy. But the author's voice, the characters, the jokes, and the insights are really top-drawer. this is easily the most insightful book I've read that doesn't descend into moralizations that will put off most young readers. Plus, it features a flying goldfish. And a pet bullfrog. And some catapults. Highly recommend.

Three Thumbs Up

A must read for kids and adults alike! I read this book start to finish without stopping - a great choice to read to kids or for kids to read on their own!
