Husband very pleased!

I purchased this gift for my husband as he has read and re-read another of Mark Nepo's books (The Book of Awakening). He loves this book as well!

Insight, Insight, Insight

This man, Mark Nepo, strings words together about life and his relationship to it that I am changed every time I read anything by him. Go out and buy whatever he writes. Your life will be the better for it.

The Exquisite Risk

Strikes a deep cord reminding me of things I know but don't live as though I know! An articulate and compelling read about experiencing life rather than just managing it. Will appeal to anyone interested in the "dance of the spirit".

Aesthetically Beautful

The Exquisite Risk: Daring to Live an Authentic Life is all that I had hoped it would be. Over years, I've kept my own "quote book". Several quotes from the writings of Mark Nepo are in it. Finally,I decided to put his name in my KEYWORD and how thrilled I was to come upon his website. I chose THE EXQUISITE RISK and it is so meaningful and insightful. This will be one of my forever books! Mary Kenney, New York

A Star of First Magnitude!

I began reading with my yellow highliter in hand. I soon had to put it down. It makes no sense when each word or phrase or sentence on each page is a gem. May as well paint the whole book yellow! Because so many of his insightful thoughts and words are also so poetically beautiful, this is not a quick read. It demands reflection, contemplation, digestion. And it is immensely nourishing and satisfying. With no rude intent at all, this book holds its place on a shelf in my bathroom. Nearly daily, and sometimes more, I pick it up again to read and re-read a page or two or six at a time. Sublime. Thank you, Mark.
