Lots of great twists

I love Meltzer's kids book series Ordinary People Change the World and I didn't realize until recently that he wrote adult fiction. This was the first one I read and I really liked it. It took me a few chapters to feel invested in the characters, but once I was I couldn't put it down. The plot twists a few times and surprised me. I will get more of his novels.
