The Emerging Christian Woman : She Brings Unity & Vitality to the Body of Christ

Written by a co-pastor of a charismatic church, this book recounts an early stage of biblical egalitarianism. While believing that men are "heads" in the traditional sense in their homes (though she does not deal adequately with this topic), Gimenez has come to the conclusion that women can take leadership and authority in the church in partnership with men. She shares her evolution of thought, which came through studying biblical examples of women preaching and prophesying. Even a partial affirmation of women in leadership coming from within the charismatic mainstream is unusual, which makes this book worth mentioning.
