It provides a good understanding of why the Red states are the Red states and the Blue states are the Blue states. It also goes into detail why the National Education Association, founded by John Dewey, is against the clan, the village or the family educating their children. This is a great book too, for anyone trying to understand why and how Americans have different beliefs than Europeans. And, it goes into great detail explaining the history of liberal Protestantism, religious movements in the United States, and different religious traditions. Political Science, History, Religion, Sociology, and Psychology majors who are trying to figure out why American society is the way it is should read this book.
