Skillfully on target!

It's different from previous books, thats for sure, leaning more towards a younger generation of readers, but in my opinion a good book! Slow moving at times but a very good fairy tale all the same ... from cover to cover skillfully on target! If you like fantasyhere's one you don't wan't to miss, read Dragon Man The Adventures Of Luke Starr

The magic begins again.

If you are a fan of David and Leigh Eddings'books, you'll be eager to read this one. It's a quick read and interesting, with likable heroes, terrible baddies and interesting adventures.Very cool. "Treasured One", the second book, is sheduled for the next year, I really can't wait!

A good start to another excellent Eddings series...

I've read all of the Eddings' work several times. I truly love the way they do dialog and the relationships between characters. This book reminds me of the first book in the Belgariad series---they spend quite a bit of time laying out groundwork that doesn't seem to have any use in the plot thread in THIS book---but I suspect will prove useful lateron. I'm looking forward to the rest of the books in the series, but I'm afraid they don't write them as quickly as I read them. Readers will recognize some of the characters from the other series from Eddings. Not that they are the same, but that certain types are used again. That does not, however, detract from the story in my opinion. The only real mistake I made was reading this book before the rest were available. Now I'm stuck.I have to say, if you enjoyed the other Eddings offerings, you will most certainly enjoy this one.

Wonderful!

I'm fourteen and loved this book! is very well written and interesting! I haven't read many fantasy books (a few DragonLance and Forgotten Realms novels) but this book rocks!

Another cool stuff by the old guns

David Eddings and his wife Leigh created another spectacular fantasy with their new book "The Elder Gods", the beginning of the new series "The Dreamers'. again the reader will find memorable characters, interesting lands and twisted villains. I can hardly wait for the next one, thank you, Eddings team!
