In response to the "real" reviewers up there, I must insist the dear reader take subsequent readings of this fine first effort outside of Lentricchia's brilliant literary criticisms. It can be done, and the novel will hold up to multiple readings. And I say novel because it's not all true. Fact is, I don't know what IS true in here other than thank the good Lord for Frank Lentricchia and all his ilk. Without them the dumbing down of America would almost be complete.
