The Dynamics of Architectural Form

The fact that such a remarkable book has not too many customers' reviews is indirect confirmation of the decline of the architectural profession - turning its back to the timeless principles of the profession and embracing commercialization instead. As the architectural critic Bruno Dzevi put it: "What is the status of the architect a few years after graduation? - Knowledge of fundamental principles - none. Visual refreshment - from here and there." In such a context voices of philosophers, researchers and critics such as Rudolf Arnheim sound somewhat lonely. For me, this book was one of my best friends for 22 years and there are still details which I discover with every new reading. A must read book for every architect.
