Sweet Story

A short and sweet story about a fairy that comes and cleans up a little girl's room while she sleeps. I don't think it teaches kids anything, but that doesn't make the tale any less sweet. The artwork is beautiful and precise.

Fairy dust and magic kisses

"The Dusk Fairy" closes flowers every evening and sees that little creatures are fast in bed. Sometimes she takes care of little girls. On this particular evening the Dusk Fairy, dressed in blues and purples of the night, visits a little girl who made a mess of her room, displeasing her mother. Sweet little Dusk Fairy spends the entire evening setting the room to rights. As she is dozing on the edge of a glass, seemingly suspended, the little girl awakes. The Dusk Fairy plants a kiss on the girl's cheek and flies out the window. Thinking the girl had gotten up early to straighten her room, the mother hugs her and notices something else. The child now has a dimple that the mother says is caused by a fairy kiss. A lovely story set to very saturated, clear, softened pastels, it is a story of magic and special beings that watch over us. The book is arranged thus: story on left page with illuminating items from the story, picture on right page framed also with items from the story. The second picture shows a close-up of the girl sleeping, the third a clutter of toys, and so on. At first, I was troubled by the idea that a dusk fairy would clean up the child's mess. However, that is magic and wishful thinking, because in reality the child will be required to do it. The story is really about the origin of dimples, or at least a fanciful version. As a reminder of the story, the creators included a small cardboard fairy and two magnets so that the fairy can hover over a glass just as in the story. This is a delightful little book! Any little girl who loves fairies or has dimples will love this book!

The Best Fairy Book I Ever Got

It's neat because it has a little fairy that you can take outand when you're writing, she can balance on a pencil. It has goodpictures and a good story.
